Working together for pollinator conservation

Island Pollinator Initiative Misson

To preserve and protect pollinators on Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands through education and outreach, habitat preservation and creation, and collaborative action.

Pollinators are not optional

Natural ecosystems rely on pollinators. About 1/3 of the food we eat is a result of pollinators such as managed honey bees, wild bees, and hover flies. Without pollinators our natural ecosystems could not function and we would lose much of our food. Pollinators are in trouble, but you can help!
